In a Platform Veilig Ondernemen (Platform Veilig Ondernemen, PVO) the police, the judiciary, municipalities, sector organisations and the entrepreneurs work together to solve security problems. They do this by mapping crime. Together they look at what is needed: taking preventive measures, introducing repressive measures or a mix of different measures? Where possible, the first choice is to take preventive measures; prevention is still better and more efficient than cure. In this way they work together to create a safe environment for entrepreneurs, staff and customers.
